Our simple, structured lessons take place in Folkestone, Kent, and are beginner-friendly, engaging, and fun for all ages. We want all our students to enjoy drumming and look forward to their lessons each week.
We understand learning an instrument can feel quite daunting, and not everyone learns at the same pace or in exactly the same way. Our supportive, patient, calm, and encouraging approach to teaching means our lessons suit 'little ones,' 'lively ones,' teenagers and adults wanting to master the kit and develop their own sound.
Questions you might want to ask!
Is Kickstart Drums just for kids?
Whilst the heart of our teaching at Kickstart Drums is children and teenagers, we teach adults too!
We teach children as young as reception and adults as 'young' as they feel!
Our simple, structured, patient approach means a less intimidating learning environment for all ages.
Will I need a drum kit?
No! Lots of parents (and grown-ups!) are put off drum lessons because of the noise, space, or money required to buy a drum kit for home.
You don't need a drum kit to take drum lessons.
If you did want to buy one, then we can advise on that - including the brilliant quieter options available, such as electric drum kits (which can be played through headphones).
You might like to purchase the Kickstart Drums book we use for lessons, and after a few lessons buy your own drumsticks and practice pad - but again, this isn't a requirement.
